FAQ
Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: Appointments can be booked by either calling or emailing us with the following information:
  • Your name and phone number
  • A brief description of the concerns you’d like to address
We will get back to you as soon as possible, at which point we can answer any questions you might have and set up an intake appointment. Intake appointments are typically about an hour in length, and will include a brief interview and some questionnaires (if warranted). We will discuss your primary problems/areas of concern, in addition to gathering relevant historical and medical information. We will also discuss a plan for treatment, which may include goals, expectations, frequency of visits, and the expected duration of treatment.
Q: Do I need a referral?
A: While we do not require a referral for our services, a referral may be required by your insurance provider. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider regarding coverage and claim procedures prior to your first appointment.
Q: Do you offer virtual/remote services?
A: Yes! We offer Ontario-wide remote services, either via phone or the Doxy.me virtual platform. Although remote services are increasingly being covered by extended health plans, we encourage you to check with your insurance provider regarding coverage and claim procedures prior to your first appointment.
Q: What are your fees?
A: For information on fees, cancellations, and insurance billing, please see our Fees & Payments page
Q: Do you complete Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs)?
A: Yes! We have a great deal of experience providing quality independent psychological evaluations for accident benefit, disability, and employer files. If you are interested in adding us to your organization’s professional roster, please contact us at info@stonebridgepsychological.ca. We would be happy to review your new assessor package and answer any questions you may have.
